What happens when you change the focus from content transmission to student knowledge making?

Students take an active role in their own learning by researching multiple sources and perspectives, working with peers to frame their understandings, discussing each other’s knowledge works, and sharing their knowledge in portfolios. In the Learning Module, this is accomplished by using a series of structured activity sequences that transform the patterns of interaction in learning, resulting in improved student engagement and performance.
